Kaduna State water Corporation (KADSWAC) is a public water utility company that is 100%   owned by the Kaduna State government .The corporation was formed by the Kaduna state water supply and sanitation law 2016, enacted by the House of Assembly of Kaduna state on 25 may 2016 as amended .the mandate of KADSWAC is to provide safe, adequate and affordable water supply services in urban areas and to implement cost recovery, commercial oriented and customer-focused service. water supply is in the concurrent legislative list, to this end State Governments have the responsibility of managing water Agencies (SWAs)to operate systems for water service delivery. The responsibility for water supply in Kaduna state lies with three state water Agencies; the Kaduna state water corporation (KADSWAC) which is responsible for urban water supply; the Rural Water and Sanitation Agency (RUWATSA), responsible for rural water supply; and the water sector and sanitation Regulatory Commission, responsible for supervisory oversight of the agencies.

KADSWAC operation in 16 Districts, within the State, namely Doka, Kawo, Rigasa, Tudun wada, Makera, Barnawa and Kamozou in Kaduna Town. Zaria City, Sabon Gari and Samaru in Zaria.Kafanchan, Saminaka, Kwoi, Birnin Gwari, and lkara.
